TIFF 2020: la Selección Oficial

 

El TIFF 2020 anunció la programación para el festival de este 2020. Recordemos que, por culpa del coronavirus, el festival no tendrá invitados internacionales (ni tampoco prensa) y aunque habrá funciones en salas de cine de Toronto, estas serán para público muy selecto y en condiciones de seguridad extrema para evitar contagios.

Afortunadamente habrá funciones “virtuales” de todas las cintas, aunque aún no se ha aclarado bajo qué condiciones será y si el público común y corriente podremos acceder a ellas.

Conformada por alrededor de 50 películas, este año la selección oficial de TIFF es dramáticamente más pequeña que la de ediciones anteriores, pues usualmente presentan alrededor de 300 títulos.

Como sea, la alineación de este año viene muy interesante, con películas nuevas de Spike Lee, Werner Herzog, François Ozon, Thomas Vinterbeg, Halle Berry, Viggo Mortensen, Nicolás Pereda, Michel Franco, Kornél Mundruczó y muchos más.
