Oscar 2010: Curiosidades
Up: una aventura de altura, de Pixar, es sólo la segunda película de animación de la historia en ser nominada como Mejor Película después del clásico de Disney La Bella y la Bestia, en 1992. No olviden que también compite como Mejor Película de Animación.
De ganar la estatuilla, sería el tercer año consecutivo en que Pixar obtiene un Oscar después de las películas de animación Wall-E y Ratatouille.
Con su nominación número 16, Meryl Streep superó su propio récord como la actriz más nominada de la historia de los Oscar. Nominada este año en la categoría de Mejor Actriz por su actuación en Julie & Julia, Streep pasó ya a Katharine Hepburn y Jack Nicholson, cada uno con 12 candidaturas.
Como dato adicional, recordemos que Streep ha ganado el Oscar dos ocasiones: Kramer vs. Kramer (1980) y La decisión de Sophie (1983).
Otra curiosidad: Meryl Streep y Penélope Cruz son las únicas dos nominadas de este año que repiten del Oscar el año pasado. Street fue postulada por Doubt, mientras que Cruz ganó el Oscar a Mejor Actriz de Reparto por Vicky Cristina Barcelona, de Woody Allen.

La película de Michael Haneke también está nominada como Mejor Película Extranjera.
La teta asustada de Claudia Llosa es la primera película peruana en ser postulada como Mejor Película Extranjera.
El Oscar se entregará el próximo 7 de marzo.
